Today I am thankful for…
—My children who give me so much. They make me laugh, and cry and sometimes hyperventilate, lol.
—My wonderful husband. He goes to a job he doesn’t enjoy and even works overtime to provide for us. All because he loves us.
—Fun crafts to cuddle on the couch and do
Today’s verse to meditate on…
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
My favorite verse for when life is a challenge.
In the kitchen…
Omelette pie, toast, turkey sausage
—Poncho for me (I usually never make anything for myself so I am excited)
—A secret Christmas gift
—My and my families health, we have been sick
—A restoration of energy to me
—My Aunt and Uncle’s financial situation- my uncle had a stroke and won’t ever fully recover. It looks like they are going to lose their house etc. They need wisdom and direction.
Today has been a very good day so far. I feel like I have accomplished a pretty good amount of things. I took a bit of a rest on my bed earlier, and browsed through some cookbooks I own. Sometimes it is wonderful to just unwind. I spent quite a bit of time in my Make-a-Mix cookbook. After looking through it, I decided it is a wonderful cookbook. It doesn’t use whole grains, but with a few substitutions each recipe could be made very nutritiously. And it really is a comprehensive book of yummy and easy to prepare recipes. I have used mine so many times that a few pages are missing. It’s time for a new copy, because I have worn this one out almost. It’s a fun cookbook. If you get a chance to look at a copy, I know you will enjoy it.
