Here is a fun one to bring a smile on your face should your shopping take you near the food court of a mall.  How fun it would be to end up at the mall when something like this happened.

Here is a cute card/gift that you can help your child make to give to family or friends or teachers.  You can change the shape to make it more festive.  And who of us with younger children don’t have tons of broken crayons around?

Here is a fun thing that can be done quickly to include in a gift that would bring a smile.  Make Donut Seeds packets.  All you need is a printer, glue and frosted Cheerios for it.  My girls will be making some for fun.

Time is running short and I’m sure so is everyone’s bank balance.  Here is a great idea that can be done really quickly and is very inexpensive.  A French memory board.  If you catch a sale on the canvas or use a coupon, and if you use fabric from your stash or buy a remnant (which is what I did when I made them) these can done very inexpensively.  I made several as gifts about ten years ago.  I’m happy to say that I have seen several still in use.

And today’s scripture is:

1 Thessalonians 3:11-13

New International Version (NIV)

11 Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

As Christians our lives should be filled with love for others.  It should just flow through us easily.  And at Christmas we have so many oppurtunities to bless others.  How about paying for the person behind you in line’s groceries (if you can afford what they are buying, lol).  Or in traffic waiting and letting someone in.  Or what about offering to babysit or help bear a burden in some other way.  What about anonomously leaving groceries or a gift card to a grocery store on the doorstep of someone that you know is really struggling financially.  The holidays just make it that more difficult as struggling parents try to get at least some sort of gift for their child and keep food in the house at the same time.  This is near impossible for some when they normally can barely provide food as it is.  There are so many ways to show love and bless others during this time.  I’m sure if you think of those that share your world you will realize all the oppurtunities that you have.
